Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Take this evening to relax and prepare for the exciting days ahead in Tanzania’s iconic national parks.
Day 2: Arusha – Lake Manyara
After meeting your guide, depart for Lake Manyara National Park, famously praised by Ernest Hemingway as one of Africa’s most beautiful spots. This compact but diverse park is home to flamingos, tree-climbing lions and lush groundwater forests. Enjoy your first game drive in the afternoon.
Day 3 to 4: Lake Manyara – Serengeti National Park
Travel from Lake Manyara to the world-famous Serengeti, optionally stopping at Olduvai Gorge, an important archaeological site. The Serengeti offers unmatched wildlife viewing across its endless plains. Over these two days, enjoy multiple game drives and the chance to spot the Big Five, over 500 bird species, and depending on the season, the awe-inspiring Great Migration.
Day 5 to 6: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater
Depart for Ngorongoro, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Spend a full day exploring the crater floor, where tens of thousands of animals roam freely – zebra, wildebeest, black rhino, lion, cheetah and more.
Day 7: Ngorongoro – Tarangire National Park
Journey to Tarangire, a lesser-visited gem known for its baobab-dotted landscapes and massive elephant herds. With over 300 bird species and a high concentration of predators and grazers, this park is a birder’s and wildlife lover’s haven. Enjoy a game drive after lunch.
Day 8 to 10: Arusha – Zanzibar
Return to Arusha for a short domestic flight to the spice island of Zanzibar. Check in to your beachfront hotel on the island’s tranquil east coast. Spend your days swimming in turquoise waters, enjoying beachside relaxation, exploring local culture, or partaking in water sports and excursions.
Day 11 to 12: Zanzibar – Departure
Enjoy your final morning in paradise before being transferred to Zanzibar Airport for your return flight. Optional activities or spa treatments can be arranged depending on your flight schedule.
