Embark on an unforgettable 10-day journey through Kenya and Tanzania’s most iconic wildlife destinations. From the majestic views of Mount Kilimanjaro in Amboseli to the wildlife-rich floor of the Ngorongoro Crater, every stop offers a new spectacle. Witness the Great Migration in the vast plains of the Serengeti, spot the elusive Big Five in the legendary Masai Mara and explore diverse landscapes teeming with life. This safari is a perfect blend of adventure, comfort and awe-inspiring natural beauty.
Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi, Kenya
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by our local representative and transferred to your hotel in Nairobi. Enjoy a relaxed evening with dinner at the hotel and a briefing about your upcoming adventure.
Day 2 to 3: Nairobi – Amboseli National Park
After breakfast, depart for Amboseli National Park, arriving after a scenic four-hour drive. Set at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, Amboseli is known for its large elephant herds and iconic views. In the afternoon, enjoy your first game drive.
On Day 3, start early with a sunrise game drive and spend the rest of the day exploring the park, relaxing at the lodge, or joining guided walks. Optional activities include bird watching or a refreshing swim.
Day 4 to 5: Amboseli – Ngorongoro Crater, Tanzania
Cross the border at Namanga into Tanzania and drive towards Arusha. After lunch in Arusha, proceed to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This UNESCO World Heritage Site features a spectacular volcanic crater teeming with wildlife.
Spend Day 5 inside the crater, enjoying full-day game drives and spotting animals like lions, elephants, rhinos and flamingos. Witness the raw drama of nature in this unique ecosystem.
Day 6 to 8: Ngorongoro – Serengeti National Park
Drive to Serengeti National Park, optionally stopping at Olduvai Gorge, one of the world’s most important paleoanthropological sites. Once in Serengeti, enjoy an afternoon game drive.
On Day 7, take part in full-day safari activities, spotting hippos, leopards, and lions. An optional balloon safari can be arranged for a breathtaking aerial view. Relax in the lodge with views over the Serengeti.
On Day 8, head to the park’s western corridor, experiencing a different ecosystem and staying in a luxury tented camp.
Day 9 to 10: Serengeti – Masai Mara, Kenya
After a final Serengeti game drive, drive towards the Masai Mara via the border crossing back into Kenya. This leg of the journey takes approximately eight hours with possible wildlife sightings en route.
Arrive at your lodge with beautiful views and enjoy both morning and afternoon game drives on Day 10. If you haven’t yet seen the Big Five, the Masai Mara is your best chance. Between July and October, witness the awe-inspiring Great Migration along the Mara River.
Day 11: Masai Mara – Nairobi – Departure
After breakfast and a final morning drive, return to Nairobi by road or a scheduled flight (optional). Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your outbound flight or extend your stay with a beach holiday in Diani or Zanzibar.
