Details & Itinerary
Day 1 – Nairobi:
Upon arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, you will be met by a representative of Akara Expeditions and given a short safari briefing before starting your journey to Maasai Mara National Reserve.
Days 2 & 3 – Masai Mara National Reserve:
Discover the best that Kenya’s famed Maasai Mara has to offer. Enjoy morning, afternoon and evening game drives across the Mara plains in search of the big five and other plains game, bush walks and cultural encounters.
Day 4 – Masai Mara National Reserve / Nairobi / Tanzania:
After breakfast and check out, you will be driven back to Nairobi. After lunch, you will make the journey to Tanzania, through Namanga border, by road.
Optional: After breakfast and check out, depart the Masai Mara on a flight to Migori Airstrip, where you be welcomed and driven to Tarime, where you will cross the border into Tanzania to board another flight to the Serengeti National Park.
Days 5 & 6 – Serengeti National Park:
Discover the best that Tanzania’s oldest and most popular national park has to offer. Enjoy morning, afternoon and evening game drives across the Serengeti National Park.
Day 7: Serengeti National Park / Ngorongoro Conservation Area:
After breakfast and check-out, drive towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will drive through the Crater Rim from where you will have the opportunity to see the Crater in all its glory.
Day 8 – Ngorongoro Crater:
Wake up early to the views of the Crater, and after breakfast head off for a full day game drive on the Crater floor. Ngorongoro Crater is a deep, volcanic crater, the largest unflooded and unbroken caldera in the world. The high walls of the crater serve as a natural enclosure for an abundance of wildlife. In the afternoon take a stroll on the rim of the Crater with your guide and relish sundowners with a sensational view.
Day 9 – Ngorongoro Crater / Arusha:
After breakfast and check-out, drive to Arusha and relax at a reserved hotel day room until transferring to the Kilimanjaro International airport for your onward arrangements.
