Details & Itinerary
Day 1 – Nairobi:
Upon arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, you will be met by a representative of Akara Expeditions and given a short safari briefing before being transferred to a local hotel for overnight stay.
Day 2 & 3 – Amboseli National Park:
After an early breakfast, you will be driven to Wilson Airport, where you will board a flight to Amboseli National Park.
Amboseli National Park is one of the best known wildlife destinations in Kenya, primarily for excellent sightings of elephant in the big marshy area and the magnificent view of Mount Kilimanjaro. Adventures include morning and afternoon game drives in open safari vehicles, walks in the conservancy and cultural tours where you interactcan with local families and enjoy the fascinating traditional stories.
Spend two nights at Amboseli National Park
Day 4 & 5 – Meru National Park:
After breakfast, you will be driven to the airstrip for your flight to Meru National Park.
The Meru National Park was made famous through the book and film Born Free based on George and Joy Adamson’s work releasing hand raised Lions back into the wild. The park features 13 rivers and supports a wide range of diverse habitats. Game viewing in Meru encompasses large herds of elephant, buffalo, gerenuk, lesser and greater kudu, magnificent lions, leopard, black and white rhinos. The park is also a paradise for bird watchers with several rare bird species found here.
Spend two nights at Meru National Park.
Day 6 & 7 – Samburu National Reserve:
After breakfast, you will be driven to the airstrip where your flight will be awaiting to take you to Samburu.
Samburu, Buffalo Springs and Shaba National Reserves in Northern Kenya are popular tourist destinations with a diverse and unique semi-arid wildlife population. Explore Samburu on twice-daily game activities. The reserve is enriched with extraordinary wildlife, including the northern species such as Grevy’s zebra, the Somali ostrich, generuk, reticulated giraffe, as well as lesser kudu, leopards, plenty of lions and herds of elephants.
Apart from morning and afternoon game drives you can visit a Samburu community and learn about their way of life and culture, take a camel safari, spend the night under the stars or leisurely enjoy your camp stay.

Day 8 & 9 – Masai Mara National Reserve:
After breakfast, you will be driven to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to the iconic Masai Mara National Reserve.
Discover the best that Kenya’s famed Maasai Mara has to offer. Enjoy morning, afternoon and evening game drives across the Mara plains in search of the big five and other plains game, bush walks and cultural encounters.
Spend two nights at Masai Mara National Reserve.
Day 10 – Masai Mara National Reserve / Nairobi
After breakfast and check out, you will be driven back to Nairobi and relax at a reserved hotel day room until transferring to the airport for your onward arrangements.
Optional: You can take a flight from Mara to Nairobi.
